Vertebral Subluxation Complex & Subluxation Disclaimer
Guidelines by the current regulatory body say “The Chiropractic Vertebral Subluxation Complex is an historical concept but remains a theoretical model. It is not supported by any clinical research evidence that would allow claims to be made that it is the cause of disease or health concerns.”
Chiropractors accept and utilise the term(s) Vertebral Subluxation Complex and Subluxation as it is felt it is important educational information to be included when talking about Chiropractic.

Title of Chiropractor
Chiropractic is a registered primary health care profession within the UK and the title of ‘chiropractor’ is protected by law, making it a criminal offence for anyone to describe themselves as any sort of chiropractor without being registered. To be eligible for registration, UK graduates must have successfully completed a recognised university degree programme.
